It's easy to slip into bitterness that you are stuck with the kid when you would rather be doing something else. I often find myself thinking this way than my daughter runs up to me and wants to play superheros or whatever shes doing and I remember that soon she wont want to anymore and this is my only time with her which is more valuable than any fun alone "me" time or whatever nonsense bugworld pushes.
Also, the first restaurant we took her was Chilis in Japan.
